Artist' notes: "The entire time I was painting this girl, I thought she was a rooster! Her posture, plumes and beautiful colors fooled me. I saw her in the backyard of one of my favorite places in the OBX.......Seagreen Gallery. I wanted to call attention to her unique beauty, so I placed her in a background of shiny gold tones." The process of putting metal leaf on sanded paper is quite time consuming and sometimes tedious. But I like the end result!!
